Setting up the MP3 CoolStreams to play on
your Default MP3 player: You CAN listen to the MP3 Coolstreams with WinAmp,
iTunes,
or possibly another 3rd party MP3 player. We have tested it
with WinAmp 2.x and Winamp 5.x, plus iTunes.
Here's how to select the alternate player:
A.) Click the Listen button
for the MP3 CoolStream and login at the prompt as normal.
B.) After the player loads
(you may have to follow the prompt to find the plug-in,
which it will not), click the small SETUP button at the left
side of the player just below the Playlist display.
C.) On the "Fine-Tune Your
Listening Experience" screen, select the bottom option
"other MP3 Player" (NOTE! The Real One and Windows Media
engine options do NOT work in Firefox or Netscape as of the
time we tested it!).
D.) After you hit CONTINUE,
you should get a selection box to select the default MP3 or
Media player installed on your system...
NOTE: If you do this a 2nd
time, you may instead see a screen that says "Download
Player 365 to play Live 365 stations." If you get
that, look for a link at the bottom that says "Choose A
Different Player." You'll be taken back the the same
screen in step C.) above!
... The box will say "You
have chosen to open Play.pls which is a Winamp
playlist file..." Choose Open With and select your
player from the dropdown box, then hit OK.
E.) Your player shoudl open,
buffer, and play the stream. The Browser Player
window will still remain open to display the current and
prior two songs played (and only display one triangle Play
button now), but you will use the controls on your player to
contol volume, stop, etc.
F.) You should not have to
Log In again until you close your browser and reopen it,
plus our CoolStreams. |
