What is
CoolStreams and what is its history?
CoolStreams is
an aggregator, distributor and producer of high quality
music programming. Our primary outlet for our
programming is the CoolStreams website (at URLs
http://coolstreams.org or
http://coolstreams.com or http://musicsojourn.com).
The Coolstreams site
(originally MusicSojourn.com) has been providing high quality music programing on
the web since February of 1998. In 2005, the MusicSojourn.com web site and url was acquired by Coolstreams, Inc.,
a Pennsylvania Non-Profit corporation for the purpose of
expanding the concept of providing the highest quality music
content free from the dictates of commercial pressures and
influence. Coolstreams, Inc. is
governed by a board of directors, which also
includes the original founder and producer of many Music
Sojourn programs. We developed our "Mission" of
"Providing the highest Quality Music Programming and
Preserving Recorded Music History." We put our
efforts into two primary goals to fulfill this mission: (1)
to expand our relationships with highly experienced and
acclaimed radio producers, many of whom have produced
quality programming for US pulic radio outlets including NPR
and PRI, and (2) further developing the "Coolstreams
Project" to provide the most comprehensive and highest
quality music streams available in each Genre that we are
building over time.
