Support Echoes on Music
Sojourn
1. Membership Benefits
Thank you for your direct
support! We have developed a
Membership
program to provide extra services and, eventually, premiums
for those who support us at very generous levels.
Members at higher levels can now take advantage of near
CD-Quality and
FM-Quality streams, starting with the
Ambient
Caverns and
Echoes
series.
more details on the new Members Streams.
There will be over 20 hours
of Echoes available in FM & near-CD Quality streams.
Please see the
Members FAQ for more details by clicking here. We
will change the programs available in the Member Streams
periodically by changing the playlist. You can always
see which programs are playing, and access the web page for
the program, from the links displayed in the Real Player
window as the program plays.
To see the
Ambient & New Age Member's Streams Page, click here.
We will not be able to place
PLAY buttons for these streams on each Volume Guide page for
the programs. At these higher quality streaming rates,
there are legal & copyright reasons why we cannot do this,
and it would also take up too much storage space on our
servers over time. The current volume of programming
on Music Sojourn is already causing us to run into this
storage problem, so more series will move to this type of
presentation format over time also. While all Echoes
(and other) programs will not be able to remain online
forever, we will still maintain the descriptive pages for
each Volume of programs, and return them to "circulation"
periodically.
Please take a look at our new
Membership
Resources Index for more information. While we
will soon have "Premiums" to encourage your continued
support, we have defined "Membership"
as something more than just another gimmick term to get you
to contribute periodically.
about this idea here.
Everyone who supports us at
any level really wins because it keeps the programming
available, and there are presently no restrictions on any
program content - and we hope to keep it that way.
2. We are
adding new Navigation links to each Echoes volume so
you can more easily navigate back or forward one volume.
Look for the links like:
<<< to Volume 127
Programs
to Volume 129 Programs >>>
near the top and bottom of
the rows which contain each volumes programs (this example
would be for Volume 128). We have completed this back
to about Volume 80, and will continue back through the
archive as time allows. We will also be adding these
links to other program series as we can.
3. For those who don't do windows, or just prefer
Winamp or something, we have started an Echoes continuous
stream (Echoes stream 6) on Live365. The stream
currently has 15 hours of program playing in it (at random).
Its called "Stream 6" because it was originally playing
volume 106, but it is the ONLY one we have running at
present. Running this stream will soon start to cost
us an additional monthly fee
as mentioned on Scott's Page,
so if you prefer to use this option, please let us know when
you support us! You can get to the links to the stream
from the Bottom of the
MAIN Index
page for Echoes. Note that you have two
listening options: a.) using the Live365 "browser"
player (which will at least show you the program numbers),
or b). using your favorite MP3 player (Winamp, etc.) using
the lower button (You'll have to listen for the program
number OR click the "What's Playing" link at the right of
the row with the Play button). We have created a page
listing the shows playing in the stream - you get to it from
the "More Info" link just under "Whats Playing" as above.
Or you can
click this link here now to get to the page.
