Here is an explanation of
our current server setup that provides the various
listening options available either for Free POD or for the
Members POD and MP3 Coolstreams. This can also help
you identify which options may be better for you to try if
you are experiencing problems, or if we are reporting any
specific system problems above.
MP3 and Real Audio
Programs On Demand (POD): The Free and Members
RA-21 Real Audio, and the MP3-56 programs (either Real
Player or MP3 player) stream from our web server.
Important Note about using
our Real Player presentions: Our Real Player buttons
are more affected by network or internet "congestion"
issues than our MP3 buttons. The "Real Player"
buttons, with the player displays of song titles, sends
many hundreds of tiny files along with the audio file in
order to display all of the related info, so if there is a
problem with either our web server or your connection (or
any issues on the internet between you and us), it may
cause the program stream to stop if one or more of these
files gets interrupted or dropped.
Members' MP3-128
Programs On Demand (POD): Our highest quality Member's
MP3-128 programs (for your default MP3 player) stream from
a separate server from our web server, so if you have
trouble with either the Member's MP3-56 and/or the 56 or
128 Real Player presentation versions, the MP3-128 buttons
may be a good alternative for that time.
Members' MP3
Coolstreams: served by Live365.com. Their
servers are located in California, USA. If you are
already familiar with Live365's free service, our streams
are served from their Professional (Pro) broadcast service
without any ad pops or audio ads that you see or hear on
the free service.
