(Note: You can start a specific feature below by clicking the Image or artist name links)
1st Program:
Josie Cotton - Movie Disaster Music

Jerome Youngman - Mutant Press     [Use MEMBER's Player]

On Sunday, 16 Sept. 2007 I interviewed Mutant Press main man Jerome T. Youngman. I expected to focus on his collaboration with Josie Cotton, but the interview touched a lot on his early association with Gerhard Helmut & Ripped as well as working with Bobby Paine, bassist and Josie Cotton/Go-Gos songwriter. The proto-punk topics discussed in this episode of Outsight Radio Hours are fascinating!

2nd Program:
Keli Raven

Keli Raven     [Use MEMBER's Player]

This 9 September 2007 interview is with Los Angeles rocker Keli Raven. Drawing on hard rock, metal and pop funk Keli Raven has produced a hard-hitting self-titled album for E.P. Records this year. Keli also has worked with a lot of rockers, such as Vince Neil, and we talk about that during this chat.

3rd Program:
The Gunshy - There's No Love In This War

Gunshy - Matt Arbogast     [Use MEMBER's Player]

Matt Arbogast of The Gunshy is a true DIY musician and in this 19 August 2007 interview we discuss his career in independent music. We also cover his new album There’s No Love in this War (Latest Flame). This is a fascinating album drawn from WWII letters written by the grandfather Matt never met. This interview also includes the impact the album had on Matt’s family.

4th Program:
Dennis Most - Wire My Jaw

Dennis Most     [Use MEMBER's Player]

Having formed a band called Punk in 1972 to play trippy bluesgarage-rock, Dennis was right there for the proto-punk explosion of diversity that led to so many of the genres that are common today. We discuss Dennis’s other music projects, like AudioLove, and Dennis Most And The Instigators. Being bootlegged on a Killed By Death compilation led to a resurgence and Dennis is still performing live and this proves he also gives a lively interview.

5th Program:
Joe Keithley - Hello From Joe

Joe Keithley - DOA     [Use MEMBER's Player]

On 5 August 2007 Outsight Radio Hours threw a Keithley Party. We played D.O.A., Band of Rebels, and other Sudden Death releases all night long, just hoping Joey "Shithead" Keithley would show up. In the last ten minutes he did and we had this chat about the seminal Vancouver scene, The Simpsons movie, D.O.A., and more.

6th Program:
The Bastard Fairies - Memento Mori

Yellow Thunder Woman     [Use MEMBER's Player]

In this 29 July 2007 interview. We meet Yellow Thunder Woman. That is a real Native American name and that is part of her rich experience, very little of which has been involved in music. Nevertheless, with her partner she has made an unforgettable, quirky, and beguiling album called Memento Mori as The Bastard Fairies.   Yellow Thunder Woman of The Bastard Fairies Artist Page >>>

7th Program:
Erik Huerta

Erik Huerta     [Use MEMBER's Player]

In this 15 July 2007 interview we meet Erik "The Outlaw" Huerta, a professional fighter in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). We hear of Erik’s start in professional wrestling and his reaction to the recent stories of steroid abuse in pro wrestling. Erik helps us understand the athleticism required in his sport and well as the professionalism needed. Erik also tells us of his bond to Thailand and the charity he supports there.

8th Program:
Starr Parodi - Common Places

Starr Parodi     [Use MEMBER's Player]

In this 8 July 2007 interview we meet piano impressionist Starr Parodi. Starr Parodi and her husband Jeff Eden Fair are a devoted husband-and-wife team that produces music for film. They are known for an impressive array of Hollywood’s most visible trailers, from their highly successful arrangement & production of the James Bond Theme, for which they received a gold record, and The Last Samurai, to Failure To Launch, The Last Holiday, War of the Worlds, X-Men 3, V for Vendetta, etc... "Scoring for film is a discovery process," says Parodi. "The most important thing is to hold on to that first gut feeling you have about a film, and then allow yourself to discover the deeper layers of each scene & how music can help convey that discovery." Starr’s new CD is Common Places. Inspired by a deep relationship with her 1928 Steinway grand piano that once adorned the legendary MGM sound stage in its most glorious era, Common Places echoes with neo-classical, Americana, gospel and cinematic themes all played as "stream of consciousness" improvisations.

9th Program:
Todd Grubbs - Beautiful Device

Todd Grubbs     [Use MEMBER's Player]

This 17 June 2007 interview with Todd Grubbs is just after he worked with Don Preston, who guested on his new CD. Todd keeps the Tampa area alive with driving, sophisticated electric guitar rock.

Angelo Moore - Fishbone     [Use MEMBER's Player]

Angelo Moore from Fishbone graces Outsight Radio Hours with an exciting, roaming, cell phone interview that goes from the restaurant to the street on 3 June 2007. Angelo tells us of the first time he met a Theremin, how he cases a crowd, and then he has a wardrobe malfunction!
