Feature Notes (continued): Well, in general, its not a new concept, new classical / pop combinations & interpretations have been cropping up in every popular music era since modern music recording began (e.g.: "A Fifth of Bethoven" playing over in LOR), and there have been several other contemporary efforts in the New Age / Electronica space recently also (Rhythmic Fission - Digital Revisions of Classic Trax comes to mind). This is a well conceived and well executed album, three of the selections are original compositions written by Dave Williams, and the remainder are extrapolations on mostly classical themes (including the track titles) - for example, Tchaikovsky's "Four Little Swans" becomes "Really Big Swans," Camille Saint-Saens "The Swan" becomes "Dear Old Swanney," "Carmen" becomes "The Car Men," and even Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells" ("classical" to Ambient / New Age devotees) gets the treatement as "Les Belles."
