America's 2nd album, the one that many of us think is the
best of their original trio of albums before their ascent
into commercial pop success. There are several hits
here also, we start off with one in Ventura Highway
(#8, October, 1972) (that plus "To Each His Own"
[#35,
January, 1973]
and "Only In Your Heart"
[#62,
April, 1973]
made the top 100 charts and are playing in
LOR), but also some great progressive
explorations like my favorite, Moon Song, and my 2nd
favorite, Cornwall Blank. "California Revisited"
didn't make the top 100, but became an FM radio staple in
mid 70s. Look for all of the songs from this great
album on these playlists in the future. |
